Cost effective cooking

We made a large batch of chilli minced beef and froze some portions. This has helped us out at times like this, when we've been away and haven't cooked/shopped. It's also very cost effective.
Tonight we had our chilli and jacket potato. This came to around 600 calories and was very filling and delicious.
We have found that if we don't eat enough, we are more likely to snack.
On our 'good' days (Monday to Thursday) we still get to eat quite a few calories (I have 1500 and my partner has 2000). It's amazing what you can do with that many calories if you put your mind to it. We generally like to keep a few back for a snack, so we don't miss out on anything.

Why not search our blog for other meals and their calorie count. Just type in the number of calories and the meals will be listed. Or type in an ingredient, and the recipes will come up.
